A small family run touring caravan and camping park situated in the quiet rural heart of West Somerset. Good road links from all directions and minimal local traffic means stress free, enjoyable holiday motoring. Regular awards for excellence have also been gained from the A.A. for sanitation facilities and attractive environment. The site has also won best site in West of England and one of the three best in the U.K. by Camping and Walking magazine.
This very peaceful corner of Somerset is blessed with superb panoramic beauty and many delightful attractions. Our park is just a short walk away from Crowcombe station, on the West Somerset Railway, the longest preserved steam railway in the country. Just to stand on the picturesque platform is to step back in time. If you like to walk - this is the place for you. The wooded valleys and combes of the Quantocks and the rugged expanse of Exmoor with its famous landmarks are not to be missed.
Driving on the M5 you need to come off at junction 25, this outskirts Taunton and follow the signs for A358 west towards Minehead. A land mark to look for is the roundabout and Cross Keys Pub on your right. The A358 will take you right at the roundabout then follow this round for about 10 miles until you get to the ONLY garage on your LEFT called Flaxpool Garage, then turn immediately left after the garage, do not drive down the hill, turn left down the lane and you will see our site sign.
