Chris and Ann Simpkins look forward to welcoming you to Summer Valley for your holidays. Our site is 2.5 miles from Truro, 1.5 miles from the A30 arterial road and is perfectly positioned as a base for visiting all of Cornwalls many attractions both indoor and out.

Summer Valley is a small secluded three acre touring park on the land facing the South in a sheltered country valley near Shortlanesend. Graded excellent by the English Tourist Board. The AA have granted us their special environment away. All our pitches have good views across the surrounding countryside. There are a number of electric points which should be pre-booked.

Our shop stocks a good range of general groceries and convenience foods together with wines, beers, cider and soft drinks, sweets and toys. Newspapers are available to order. Milk and bread are stocked.

Dogs are welcome on site but must be kept on a lead at all times and must not be left unattended. There is a small wooded area at the base of the site which provides a dog walk.

We try and keep part of the central area clear for childrens ball games as well as having separate play area for yournger children with a range of swings, slides and climbing frames.

If travelling from Truro take the B3284 signposted Perranporth and the site is two and a half miles out of Truro just through Shortlanesend on the left hand side. For hikers the campsite is shown on ordnance sheet 204 grid reference SW802479.

If you are coming from the east along the A30 towards Redruth ignore all signs to Truro and Shortlanesend. You will pass a large car showroom (Nissan) on the right then take the next left turn signposted Truro 4 miles. After 1 mile at Allet bear left towards Truro and the site is half a mile on the right hand side of the road and is clearly signposted.
