On the shore of the loch, Ardgartan is surrounded by the magnificent mountain scenery of the Argyll Forest Park. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, Ardgartan is great for walking, mountain biking, pony trekking and mountaineering. The site has boat launching facilities, and permits are available locally for excellent river and loch fishing. Ardgartan is a perfect touring base for the Cowal peninsula, the seaside town of Dunoon, the Younger Gardens at Benmore and Loch Lomond.
