Cardoness Estate is situated on the North shore of Fleet Bay in the Stewartry District of Dumfries and Galloway in South West Scotland, just over 2 hours by car from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. Some 100 acres of coastal parkland and policies out of the Estates 2000 acres have been set aside as a caravan park of distinction.
Cardoness has been in the same family for generations, and is a traditional working Estate, with a farm, both commercial and amenity forestry, and a small Salmon stake net fishery out in the Bay. The holiday park consists of over 200 privately owned seasonal static caravans, all carefully concealed in mature trees and shrubs, and even in the old Walled Garden. Most have sea views, and all have electricity, drainage, and water coming straight from the hill behind. All the static caravans are owned by individual families, many of whom have been coming to Cardoness for over thirty years.
3 miles west of Gatehouse on Fleet, on seaward side of A75.
