Set in an old walled garden on the Chatsworth Estate with views of the sheep-cropped rolling countryside to the west, this is a site in a most beautiful location. As you tow your caravan through the Estate to the site, youll catch glimpses of walks and footpaths that will make you itch to explore this lovely place. From Chesterfield on A619 - in 8½m in Baslow turn L 150yds past Cavendish Hotel into site ent. From Bakewell on A619 - in 3¾m on oskts of Baslow turn R at rndabt (sp Sheffield). Site ent on R in 150yds. From Chapel-en-le-Frith on A623 - in 15m in Baslow cont straight at mini-rndabt; keep in L hand lane; cont straight at next rndabt. Site ent on R in 150yds. Notes: (1) entrance to Club site is by private access rd ¾m long, single track with passing places. NO ACCESS thro Chatsworth Estate. All vehicles leaving site are advised to TURN LEFT at A619 junc and use nearby rndabt to turn and return towards Chesterfield and M1. When leaving site oncoming traffic has priority. (2) at far end of ent drive (abt ¾m) there is a traffic bottleneck outside reception. Arrivals before 12.30pm are therefore turned away. PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE AFTER 1PM TO ALLOW TIME FOR SERIOUS TRAFFIC CONGESTION TO DISPERSE. (3) if sign at rndabt inside entrance indicates site full, those with no confirmed booking must turn and leave. Otherwise a delay is inevitable.
