Our park is a tranquil family run peace lovers’ retreat set in five acres of rural Wales, seven miles south of Lampeter in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains. Easily reached from the A482, the park is just right for anyone who is seeking a quiet relaxing holiday escape to the country, away from everyday routines. The open field views at the park provide the ideal spot for occasional glimpses of Red Kites which frequent the area. With a spacious area for tourers, campers and rallies and a modern holiday caravan for hire, our park provides an excellent location for those planning a holiday or a short break in Wales. We also have seasonal touring caravan pitches, static pitches and caravans available for sale.
The park’s situation makes it a good base for those who enjoy walking, both for the serious enthusiast or those who prefer a gentle stroll. Nature lovers will notice the fresh air, with the scent of wild flowers in the hedgerows, or watch the birds and listen to the birdsong. Those with artistic talents may wish to take the opportunity to draw, paint or photograph the outstanding scenery.
The quiet country lanes are perfect for cyclists or horse riders with the riding stable on the edge of the village. Local lake and river fishing is nearby and there are golfing facilities throughout the county. For mountain bike enthusiasts the new mountain bike trail at Abergorlech, Brechfa Forest is 10 miles away.
We offer the usual amenities, including electric hook-ups, ice pack freezing, toilets, chemical disposal point and free hot water for washbasins, showers and washing-up. Our laundry room has a deep sink facility and a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a post box at the park and a general convenience store/petrol station is five minutes drive. Ffarmers village is three quarters of a mile away with a post office and a pub which is particularly popular for its excellent restaurant, bar snacks and take-away meals.
Visitors will take pleasure in seeking out traditional Welsh villages with interesting little gift shops, antique shops and tea rooms. Larger towns offer the convenience of supermarkets, modern stores, garden centres, local markets, leisure centres with swimming pools, as well as many convivial restaurants and pubs for meals or drinks.
Local attractions:
The Llyn Brianne reservoir - a large lake formed when the river was dammed as part of a hydro-electric scheme and now attracting hikers, cyclists and motorists to take in the spectacular views. Visit the nearby ancient Roman Dolaucothi gold mines and try panning for gold, or for garden lovers Aberglasny Gardens or the National Botanic Garden of Wales are a good choice. Bird watchers will enjoy the RSPB Reserve at Dinas or the Red Kite feeding station at Llanddeusant. The more energetic may wish to try the newly opened Abergorlech mountain bike trail at Brechfa Forest, or perhaps a gentle stroll around the village of Llandewi Brefi featured in the TV series ’Little Britain’ is more to your taste. We also have a large selection of tourist information brochures at the park, which cover a wide choice of interests catering for all ages and tastes.
Holidaymakers can visit the beautiful sandy beaches of the West Wales coast, with New Quay, Aberaeron or Llangranog to the north and Pembrey, Pendine or Tenby to the south.
Or. . . . just stay on the park at Maesbach and enjoy the silence ! ! ! !
