A quiet site in pretty surroundings high up but sheltered from the wind. Spring brings a fantastic display of bluebells followed by foxgloves, and youll see a wide variety of birds and even the occasional deer. There is a choice of walks from the site to Gittisham, from Beer to Branscombe along the coastal path or from Ottery St Mary along the river. Sidmouth is a restful resort with a long pebble beach, a Donkey Sanctuary and an International Folklore Festival in August. Nearby Honiton is an attractive Georgian town with antique and speciality shops induding lacemaking and pottery as well as a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Nearer to home, the local pub is a 200 yard walk.
