A pleasant, peaceful, open site, slightly sloping, and in the most lovely South Somerset countryside. Chard is a busy market town with a history of country trades. You are in Hamstone country and youll recognise the golden stone used for buildings wherever you go in this quiet and civilised area, still married to the pace of the past And dont forget - this is King Arthur country and you can track down the legend at Cadbury and Glastonbury. The coast and the delightful port of Lyme Regis are within easy driving distance. If thats not enough, add a championshiop golf course at Windwhistle and a nature reserve at Chard reservoir with over 150 species of bird including migrant Ospreys.

Fleet Air Arm Museum From E on A303 - abt 5m past rndabt at end of Ilminster By-pass (abt ¾m past Eagle Tavern on R) turn L at X-rds by thatched cottage into narrow lane (sp Crickleaze, Whitestaunton). Site thro 2nd ent on L in 25Oyds. Do not turn into 1st entrance (Five Acres
House) as it is difficult to back out.
From SW on A30- abt 4m past Honiton keep L onto A303; in abt 5m turn R at X-rds by thatched cottage into narrow lane (sp rickleaze, Whitestaunton): then as above.
From E on A30 - turn R within 2m past Chard at L bend at top of hill (sp Taunton); in 1m turn L; in abt 1 m turn L onto A303; then as route from Ilminster.
From Taunton or M5 on A358 - leave M5 atjunc 25 onto A358 (sp Chard, Honiton); in abt 9m at rndabt turn R onto A303 (sp Exeter, Honiton); then as from E on A303 above.
Note: approach to site on any unclassified roads not suitable for caravans.
