"Walking country in the Peak District National Park" -

No Caravans- on this Site due to planning restrictions in the National Park.

If you enjoy walking, you will love our Club Site at Hayfield. At the foot of the Dark Peak area of the Peak District National Park, it is within easy driving distance of both Sheffield and Manchester.

Hayfield’s Well Dressing Week takes place in July and the village also hosts several Fell Races during the year. Known as “the gateway to Kinder”, Hayfield is at the foot of the Kinder Massif, the southern-most point of the Pennine Chain. It has a butcher, grocery store, Post Office, antiques shops and a selection of places to eat. The Peak District is famous for its walking. From Hayfield, follow the Sett Valley Trail or a take a ridge ramble up Lantern Pike. Chapel-en-le-Frith to the south offers a wider range of shops and a chapel dating back to the 13th century. Buxton was developed as a spa town by the 5th Duke of Devonshire. It is known for its waters and the Buxton Festival in July. Chatsworth House is set in a 1,000 acre park and recently starred in the film Pride and Prejudice. The Chestnut Centre Conservation Park and Freshfields Donkey Sanctuary are at Peak Forest. Lyme Park was originally a Tudor house until the Venetian Architect Leoni turned it into an Italianate palace in the early 18th Century. Because of planning restrictions in place to protect the National Park, unfortunately caravans cannot be accommodated on Site and there are no electric hook-ups.
On the banks of the River Sett, ideal for Fell and Moorland Walkers.
