"Peace near Englands second city" - Non-members welcome!
In the heart of the country, yet only 15 miles from Birmingham, our Clent Hills Club Site is a lovely place to spend the weekend or take a longer holiday to explore the West Midlands.
The North Worcestershire Footpath runs within a mile of the Site. Many other footpaths and bridleways are also close by. Clent Hills includes 440 acres of woodland and heathland managed by the National Trust. The hills offer panoramic views as far as the Cotswolds and the Welsh borders and are a haven for bird watchers. There is a wheelchair-accessible trail to the top. The city of Birmingham is easily reached, with its Bullring shopping centre – including over 160 shops and restaurants – and the National Exhibition Centre. Chocolate lovers will enjoy Cadbury World in Bourneville, an area developed by the Cadbury family for its workers. The World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge is to the north, with ten museums and Thomas Pritchard’s original Iron Bridge. Think Tank includes exhibitions about industrial Birmingham, past present and future. The New Royal Brierley Experience includes a tour of the factory where craftsmen make and cut English crystal using traditional hand skills. The village of Romsley is a mile and a half from Site. It has a general store, Post Office and two pubs, both serving food.
