Situated between moor and sea, not far from the ancient village of Modbury, this makes a splendid base from which to explore South Devon. Its a bit of a dilemma whether to make for Dartmoor and the silence and solitude, the tumbling streams and the long views, or go south and seek out some of the small villages of the South Hams, the tiny sandy coves and the Coastal Path which follows the south western peninsula with dogged persistence from Dorset round to Somerset. Either way youll win, for both are absorbing. For a shopping spree, try Plymouth.

From Exeter on A38 - about 30m SW of Exeter pass Woodpecker Inn on L; in 1m leave A38 via slip rd onto A3121 sp Ermington, Modbury, Yealmpton; at top of slip rd turn L (see Broad Park sign); in 1m at X-rds cont across, sp Loddiswell (see Broad Park sign); in abt 2½m cont R just past California Cross onto B3207 (sp Modbury). Site on L in abt 1m. Please do not pull into Moor View Touring Pk which is located abt ½m before Broad Pk.
From Plymouth on A38 - 5m past Ivybridge exit leave A38 via slip rd (sp South Brent, Avonwick); move to R hand lane and turn R onto A3121 (sp Avonwick, Totnes); pass under A38 and keep R following signs A38, Plymouth; rejoin A38 passing Woodpecker Inn on L; then as above.
Note: You are advised not to tow approaching site from A379 through Modbury, road can be congested and is narrow and winding.
