A surprisingly quiet, green and pleasantly open site with pastoral views, yet within a short walk of the centre of bustling Totnes with its good pubs and restaurants. The town has been a significant port for many centuries and you could walk along the banks of the busy river to take in the historic atmosphere, before making your way up the hill to the Narrows, the oldest part of the town. Make sure you visit the historic Guildhall and museum and the Tuesday pannier market, a popular event when stallholders dress in Elizabethan costume.
