A slightly sloping open site ten minutes walk from the historic town of Caernarfon, with views of the famous castle as you approach. Theres plenty to do here. You will be inevitably drawn to Snowdon, walking it under your own steam, or taking the Mountain Railway (rack and pinion) to the top. Or you may get no further than Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon, which has put itself at the disposal of the visitor with a whole range of activities, from the lake railway to the water-based activities on Llyn Padarn or a visit to Dolbadarn Castle. Ride deep inside Elidir Mountain, to the superb modern Dinorwig Power Station. Your trip underground will be preceded by a fantastic sound, vision and special effects show.
From N on A487 - in Caernarfon cont on A487 (sp Porthmadog); immed after X-ing bdge over Rv Seiont turn R into Fford Pant Rd (sp Llanfaglan, Saron); in 20yds turn R into Coed Helen Rd; in abt ½m at T-junc turn L. Site on L in 200yds.
From S (Porthmadog) - turn L off A487 abt ¾m past Bontnewydd (250yds past 30mph sign on ent Caernarfon) just before Rv Seiont bdge (sp Llanfaglan, Saron); then as above.
