Hunters Quay and Dunoon is the busiest part of Argyll - it is a lovely area with lots to offer, and is perfect for touring the picturesque Cowal Peninsula. It is an an ideal place to spend time away from home, either as a short break or for a longer holiday. The tourist board have a network of offices throughout the area. They are the best source of information on special events on during your stay as well. Lots of free leaflets as well as guides, books and good for sale. We recommend you contact the Tourist Office so that you make the most out of your time in Argyll. You can drive via Loch Lomond using the A82 then the A83 at Tarbet over The Rest and Be Thankful, the A815 for the Cowal Penninsula via Strachur and Loch Eck to Dunoon. Or, you can travel by Western Ferries sailing across the Firth of Clyde from Gourock directly to Dunoon.
