Fen Farm Caravan and Camping Site is ideal for people looking for a quiet family retreat. It is situated by the sea and close to a country park in a small village on Mersea Island . There are 85 fully serviced static owner occupied caravans on the park, as well as tourers, tents or motor caravans.
It is an ideal place to stay for people with an interest in wildlife as Cudmore Grove Country Park is very close by and the renowned Fingeringhoe Wick nature reserve is just 6 miles away. Abberton Reservoir with its abundance of water birds is also well worth the 10 minute drive.
With no club and no pool, people who come to Fen Farm do so for the tranquil atmosphere and children often surprise themselves by finding an occupation that does not involve anything being switched on or booted up! There is always the play area with swings, seesaws, slide and Wendy house. In addition to this children enjoy “crabbing†in the creeks, playing on the beach or in the sea.
To reach Fen Farm, the B1025 brings you to the island ( the road is liable to flood sometimes when the tide is high, but not usually more then an hour or so) take the left fork to East Mersea and follow the road to the “Dog and Pheasant†public house. Take the first turning on the right , carry straight on to Fen Farm.
